MESSAGE OF DAY

Sometimes a sin requires a thousand tears for its forgiveness, while sometimes a single tear coming from the heart cleanses a thousand sins.

“Permanecer en compañía de los amigos de Allah, o la gente de la espiritualidad, que puede obtener de ellos a favor y bondad, así como la fuerza espiritual, y que puede permanecer joven, viva y vigorosa con el Amor Divino. ” Mawlana Jalal al-Din al-Rumi

“One who has a good friend is in no need of a mirror.” Rumi.

“Had the Prophet of Allah (s.a.s) not provided any miracles, the Companions he raised would have been more than sufficient to prove his prophethood.” Qarafi

Those desiring to overflow with celestial exuberance are those who effuse scents of forgiveness from the gardens of their hearts. For it is through forgiving that we can prepare the grounds for our own forgiveness. A person who cannot forgive has, in reality, destroyed himself.

Two things demonstrate weakness of intellect: silence where to speech is necessary and speech where to silence is necessary. (Sa’di Shirazi)

For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease. Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease. Ash-Sharh 5-6  

Whatever you do, do not joke with an ignorant person. As their tongue is poisonous, they will injure your heart. (‘Ali, may Allah be well pleased with him.)

“A child who rebels against a compassionate father is called mad or crazed. Whatever is said of a person who objects to the commands of Allah Almighty, the Most Merciful of the merciful, is not enough!”  Mahmud Sami Efendi

Do the people think that they will be left to say, “We believe” and they will not be tried? Al-‘Ankabut 2

How beautifully Isma’il ‘Ata’ encapsulates the spiritual sensitivity of a perfected believer: “Be shade in the sun, a robe in the cold, and bread in hunger.”

“…and take counsel with them in the affairs (of public concern); and when you are resolved (on a course of action), put your trust in Allah. Surely Allah loves those who put their trust (in Him).” (3:159)

‘Ali, may Allah be well pleased with him, says: “I prefer relieving the difficulty of a Muslim, to a world made of gold or silver.”

For a person to establish the truth and the true path they must keep their nafs under control at all times.

Shaykh Sa’di Shirazi says:  “No matter how much you read, you are ignorant if you fail to act in a manner befitting your knowledge.”
