MESSAGE OF DAY

If Sufism is to be described in one word, then it would be ‘piety’ (awareness of Allah the Almighty).

‘Ali, may Allah be well pleased with him, states: “People are enemies to what they do not know.”

Ibn Arabî says: “Being the most perfected of all human species, Prophethood thus began and ended with the Messenger of Allah.” (Ibn Arabî, Fusûsu’l-Hikem, IV, 319)

The most important virtue of a servant is to recognize the Messenger of Allah clearly.

A believer must never forget that they are in need of the earnest entreaties emanating from hearts which they are to put at ease.

We, all of us, are the students of the school of this world that is an arena of Divine trial. Our education will come to an end with our death and we will be buried with our deeds.

The true bliss and splendour of wealth is spending it in the way of Allah, by safeguarding the carnal self from miserliness and waste.

‘Umar, may Allah be well pleased with him, says: “The innermost witness of a vice is our conscience.”

‘Ali, may Allah be well pleased with him, states: “A person’s worth is as much as their wishes and desires.”

How beautifully Isma’il ‘Ata’ encapsulates the spiritual sensitivity of a perfected believer: “Be shade in the sun, a robe in the cold, and bread in hunger.”

Every blessing has a price. Claims to ownership of something the price of which has not be paid is a fool’s errand.

Abu Bakr, may Allah be well pleased with him, says: “There is no harm in patience and no benefit in gloom and panic.”

Profeta (s.a.s) dijo: Y quien crea en Allah y en el dia del Juicio Final, que sea generoso con su vecino. Müslim,I,222,Iman74, 75.

Mawlana Jalal al-Din al-Rumi, may his secret be sanctified, says: “Supplication and worship is being together with Allah. For one who is with Allah, both life and death are agreeable…”
