MESSAGE OF DAY

Abu Bakr, may Allah be well pleased with him, says: “There is no affliction of which there is none that is worse than it.”

Whoever fasts in the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith and hoping for a reward only from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven. Sahih Al-Bukhari

It is said in a hadith: “If people knew what the month of Ramadan really was, they would wish that the whole year could be Ramadan.”

We came to the world without paying a price. But we will go to the Hereafter having paid the debt of gratitude for all the bounties we have attained.

The first fruit of belief is compassion. A person is as compassionate as they are able to compensate for the deprivation of others.

Ownership claims made on something whose price has not been paid is a fool’s errand. Our most precious asset in this realm, one whose price we need to pay, is our belief.

The true bliss and splendour of wealth is spending it in the way of Allah, by safeguarding the carnal self from miserliness and waste.

Dominion belongs to Allah. Spending the wealth entrusted temporarily purely on one’s carnal self is waste, while accumulating it is miserliness.

Suffering brings the human being to maturity. Rocks along the beach struck for centuries by the waves have thus been freed from roughness and have become as strong as granite.

Mawlana Jalal al-Din al-Rumi, may his secret be sanctified, says: “Supplication and worship is being together with Allah. For one who is with Allah, both life and death are agreeable…”

“…It may well be that you dislike a thing but it is good for you, and it may well be that you like a thing but it is bad for you. God knows, and you do not know.” (2:216)
