MESSAGE OF DAY

True friendship for the sake of Allah is two people living in the one heart.

A chronological reading is not sufficient, in itself, to learn the life of the Prophet. Those who know the Messenger of Allah best are those who adhere most meticulously to his Sunna.

Our every moment must be spent in contemplation, reflection and thankfulness, as sins are committed when Allah is forgotten.

Education is the instilling of manner and character, rather than merely transmitting information. For humanity is captivated by character and self-possession.

The scale of love is sacrifice. If we truly love the Messenger of Allah, then we must exert ourselves self-sacrificingly on his path and, in this way, demonstrate our love.

Even if you were to become like a bow from performing the prayer and like a nail from fasting, Allah will not accept that worship so long as you do not avoid the prohibited as well as doubtful things.

“If you do not live what you believe, then you will begin to believe what you live.” (‘Umar, may Allah be well pleased with him.)

Through enabling servants to realise the worth of bounties, fasting strengthens feelings of praise and gratitude in their hearts for the Divine bounties and favours.

A true believer must infuse life into every place they go and must contribute to the spiritual richness therein.

Mawlana Jalal al-Din al-Rumi states: “Labour pains constitute pains for the expectant mother, but are an escape from a dark place for the baby in its mother’s womb.”

“Whoever possesses beauty should know that it is borrowed.” Rumi

“No matter how much you know, what you say is only as much as those before you can understand.”

There is no miracle in forecasting the future of a nation. All that one needs to do to this end is to look at where the youth of that nation spends their energies.

A life spent in heedlessness is one consisting of games in childhood, lust in youth, heedlessness in maturity and, in old age, longing and remorse for what has been lost.

We must never forget that one day we will be enquired about the blessings that Allah the Almighty has graced us with.
