MESSAGE OF DAY

The most important task falling to a believer is to display in their own person the elevated character acquired from the practice of Allah’s Messenger.

The bee drinks water and produces honey; the snake drinks water and produces poison.

One can become nearer to Allah through submission to His command, not through mere thought and imagination.” (Imam Rabbani)

Taqwa is: eliminating the desires of the nafs (carnal desire), developing the spiritual capabilities, and not forgetting for a split second that we are constantly under the supervision of the Divine “camera”.

Mature believers never hurt someone’s heart intentionally because they know that the heart is the focus of Divine sight. They are those who strive doing everything in their power to assist everyone and everything created by Allah Almighty. Those who struggle to be relievers and helpers not burdens; perpetually exuding peace and mercy around them.

Those who love Allah would automatically love His creation. Love is not simply a hollow phrase. Sincere love is feeling the stress of your loved ones, feel responsible for them, being able to sacrifice self toward them, and to share your bounties with them.

The greatest fruit of belief is compassion, while its result is service. Having compassion and taking pity on others is the greatest favour of Allah Almighty. Heart, insight and conscience can only be spoken of in relation to a benevolent person.

“The act and habit that the Prophet (upon him be peace and blessings) most disliked was lying. If he heard one of his Companions lying regarding a matter, he would withdraw himself from that Companion and not want to see him very much until he repented. (İbn-i Sa’d, I, 378)

So long as the person of service does not covet the world but instead aspires to obtain Divine pleasure and approval, they gain both the approval of Allah Almighty and the love of the people whom they serve.

How rueful is grovelling in pursuit of the base desires of the carnal self when there is as magnificent a bliss in this world as to be a friend to Allah in due reverence to Him.

A selfless believer could be likened to the sun and the moon for even creatures that live in dark corners find life with him. By illuminating his surroundings, his own shine increases.

The friends of Allah say: “Worship leads a person to Paradise, while proper manners and reverence during worship lead the servant nearer to Allah.”

“Hold a good opinion of the servants of Allah and be saved from much weariness.” (‘Ali, may Allah be well pleased with him.)

The human being rises in spiritual rank in accordance with the worthiness of the one towards which  they feel love. In this sense, the love felt for one who is not worthy is a great loss.
