MESSAGE OF DAY

If we desire the mercy of our Lord, we need to exude mercy from our hearts also.

One of the finest ways of comprehending and reviving ’emigration’ today is to be able to exhibit the fellowship of Islam, as Helpers, to the Syrian Emigrants.

Bayazid al-Bistami says: “Much remembrance is not that which is great in number, but that which is undertaken in peace and in avoidance of heedlessness.”

One cannot attain felicity in the Hereafter without enduring suffering in the world. The world is not a resting place. A perfected believer’s rest begins in the grave.

The most important emigration is emigration to the friendship of Allah and His Messenger. The true emigration is emigration from wrongdoing to deeds of righteousness.

Land, cities and buildings do not raise quality human beings. But a quality human being revivifies the earth and builds civilisations.

Khwaja Yusuf Hamadani says: “One who does not tread the path of religion and shari’a has followed Satan, even if they were to exhibit a thousand saintly wonders every day!”

A person who does not know mercy has lost the greatest treasure, or the key that unlocks the door of eternal happiness.

The Qur’an is the foundation of true faith and religious culture. Without a solid foundation, everything built upon it is doomed to come tumbling down and fall to pieces.

Nations, today, upon whose earth the seed of mercy is not sprinkled, will be the lamenting nations of the future.

If we entreat our Lord that He not turn us away from his Supreme Court, then we must not turn anyone away empty-handed, humiliated and degraded

Freeing oneself of rawness is the art of breasting anguish and suffering. There can be no food cooked without exertion. Mercy cannot become manifest without enduring struggle.

The worldly homes of heedless people defeated by their carnality and lacking mercy are all but family graveyards of living corpses.

‘Call on your Lord humbly and secretly. He does not love those who overstep the limits’ (A’raf, 7:55).

“Do not keep the company of or befriend those who do not have the desire for knowledge of Allah with their heart. Flee from scholars who use their knowledge for rank, position or to be praised as you would flee from a lion” Khwaja Baqi Billah (may Allah have mercy on him).
